How much does it cost to host an OpenSTEM unit?
The cost of hosting an OpenSTEM unit varies as each unit is hand-built and fully customized to meet your organization’s preferences, needs, and budget.

How soon can I expect the unit to be installed after purchasing?
You can expect your OpenSTEM unit to be installed within approximately 3 months of purchase. This timeline allows us to customize the unit to your specific needs and ensure a seamless installation process.
How big is the unit, and where can it be placed?
The OpenSTEM unit is built inside a light-weight, rolling aluminum frame which measures 70"x79"x29" (excluding the 13" display case protrusion).
The placement of the unit is entirely up to you and your specifications; it simply needs access to a wall outlet and internet connection!
Is the unit disruptive or loud?
No!
The OpenSTEM unit operates silently. The unit's grow lights are relatively bright; however, they are pointed away from the viewer's eyes, and are not considered disruptive whatsoever.
Who maintains the unit once it is installed?
Once the unit is installed, OpenSTEM will help identify a host-site ambassador to assist with the monitoring and maintenance of the unit.
Your ambassador and an OpenSTEM representative will frequently collaborate to ensure the unit operates smoothly and receives regular support.
